What You Imagine Manifests in Your Life

what you imagine manifests in your life

Prior to discovering Neville Goddard’s teaching, I have been practicing and even teaching the law of attraction for some 13 years. I used to write about it and teach it, but the thing is that I still had a lot of hit and miss with this law of attraction thing. Interestingly, when I discovered Neville’s teaching I realized that I wasn’t the only one feeling this way. Many people felt the same way about the law of attraction because there are some key elements missing from that teaching that create blocks and resistance right from the get-go. Even though I don’t like to use those words, I have to for lack of a better term. The belief that there is something out there that decides for you, is a hindrance of its own.

On the other hand, Neville taught me that I AM God of my reality. I AM the operant power. And what I imagine manifests in my life.

Your Consciousness is the Only Reality

Believe me, everything in your world was first conceived in your imagination. The house you live in, the car you drive, the clothes you wear, as well as your friends, your loved ones, your enemies and the strangers on the street were imagined before externalized. Now it is time to control your human imagination and govern it by love. I urge you to awaken to the discovery that everything you seek in time is contained within you. – Neville Goddard

Neville Goddard what a firm believer that imagination creates reality because our consciousness is the ONLY reality. During all my studies of LOA teachers and writers, I had never heard it so clearly.

But all I had to do is look back into my life and see how true this is. That’s why I was hooked to Neville’s teaching pretty quickly and didn’t need any convincing but my own experience to show me this truth. The way I imagined myself in each area of my life was showing up perfectly in my world. What I had imagined about money, relationship, health, and everything else were EXACTLY what I had been experiencing in my 3D world.

This is why we often see people excel in one area of their lives and suck in another. They simply don’t imagine the same way in all areas. In my case, for example, when it came to health, I was and always have been imagining the best. So, one day when my brother’s motorcycle fell on my leg as I was riding it, the doctor was shocked that I didn’t have a single broken bone. But even though he was shocked as the doctor that he was, I wasn’t, because I’ve always imagined having strong bones. On the other hand, my thoughts, beliefs, and imagination about money and relationships, for example, were not as strong, to say the least. And that too showed up big time in my reality.

You see, when you excel in your career but suck at relationships, it’s because you imagine differently when it comes to career and when it comes to relationships. And that applies to every single area of your life. As Neville says in the quote above, the car that you drive, the clothes that you wear, the friends that you have… it’s all imagined by you. What you imagine is part of your consciousness, and your consciousness is the only reality. This means that what is NOT part of your consciousness cannot possibly exist in your reality. If you don’t like what you see, you need to fix it in your imagination because that’s where things are created.

Stop Imagining Doubts

“You may desire something you think you cannot afford, or you don’t have the time or the know-how to enjoy it. You can think of a thousand reasons why its possession is impossible; but – hearing that imagination creates reality – you can imagine you have it. But to imagine is not enough; you must have faith enough in your imaginal act to believe in its reality. When you imagine you are the person you want to be, you must firmly believe you already are it; then wait in faith for your assumption to appear in your world, for that imaginal act has its own appointed hour. It will ripen and flower. If it seems long to you – wait, for it is sure and will not be late.” – Neville Goddard

A common issue that I encounter among my clients and other people asking me questions on a daily basis, it’s that even though some of them are incredibly skilled at creating an imaginal scene that implies that they have their desires, they do not back it up with faith. Actually, they back it up with lots of doubts, so they can’t seem to manifest their desire in their 3D reality. If you don’t have full faith that your imagination creates, then automatically you are going to affect your imagination in a negative way. On one hand, you are imagining that you have your desire, but it’s quickly annulled by your doubts that you too are imagining. And if you embody more easily and more naturally your state of doubt that’s what’s going to prevail in your reality.

Do not waste your hard imaginal work by spreading doubts between you and your desires. Instead, develop your faith, and know that you are God and that your imagination has to harden into fact. Your I AMness is who you truly are. “Be still and know that I AM God.” Palm 46:10. Be still, quiet your mind, and know that what you imagine will show up in your 3D reality.

Use Your Imagination to Recreate Your Reality

If you will keep controlling your world in your imagination until the one sensation crowds out all other ideas, your right consciousness will answer for you and your dream will become your reality. But, if you don’t feel fulfilled, you can easily be diverted and miss your mark.”– Neville Goddard

Whatever you are imagining today, will show up tomorrow. Not necessarily literally, but you know what I mean, right? I hear some people say, my life has not changed, it’s still the same old thing coming back and back again. This is because you have NOT used your imagination to recreate your reality, but rather, you keep on imagining the same day after day, so you are getting the same day after day. If your doubts are bigger than your fulfilled desires, then it is those doubts that are going to manifest. It’s as simple as that.

Don’t fall for what 3D has been showing you. The reason why it has it’s because that’s what you have imagined. That’s what you’ve kept thinking about. That’s the state that you have embodied. They all mean the same thing. God is in your wonderful human imagination as Neville is known for having said many, many times. And it’s because God is in our imagination that such imagination creates our reality whether or not we’re aware of it, or consciously want it. That’s why it’s our job as individuals to control our imagination, because it is, indeed, powerful. It works 24/7 with or without our permission.

An awakened imagination works with a purpose. It creates and conserves the desirable, and transforms or destroys the undesirable. – Neville Goddard

This is the nature of universal laws, they always work, whether or not we know how to use them. Electricity can both be the most helpful and convenient thing in your life, but it can also kill you. It’s the same electricity, the same source of energy, but depending on what you do with it, it can be your friend or your foe. The law of assumption, the power of imagination, is not different. It always works, it’s always there, but are you using it to your advantage?
