how to live in the end

One of the most asked questions that I get is how do we live in the end? What does it mean exactly? How is it supposed to feel? So, today, this is what I am going to discuss to help you get the gist of what Neville Goddard called living in the end of the wish fulfilled.

Living in the is Assuming Your Desired Fulfilled

And now, if I dare to assume that I am now the man that I want to be and I persist in the assumption, watching my mind, morning, noon and night, so anything I find myself dwelling upon that is in conflict with my assumption, I put it aside. I’ll be faithful to this divine vision, the vision of myself, and anytime I catch myself daring to feel less than the thing I’m trying to feel and externalize in my world. I simply stop it, and go back to that assumption, that I am the man that I want to be. If I persist in it and it becomes a fact, I have found him. If this law proved itself in performance then, I have found him. – Neville Goddard

As you can see from this beautiful and pretty explicit quote from Neville, taken from his lecture Assumptions Harden Into Facts, living in the end of the wish fulfilled is an assumption and it requires persistence. Unfortunately, as humans living in the asleep society that we are born in, we are not taught those things. We are not taught to live in our imagination and persist in it, we are actually taught the opposite. We are told that what’s going on in our minds is fantasy and that we should get real already. What society calls ‘real’ it’s the world of Ceasar. But the irony of this it’s that there would be no “world of Ceasar” without man’s imagination. Because everything is imagination hardened into fact.

So, with this truth in mind, it becomes easier to realize that if we want to experience something in the physical world, we have to imagine it and live in that imaginal act in thoughts and feelings until it hardens into fact. If you catch yourself deviating from that, you stop it, and go back in the assumption that you already have your desire, as Neville explains in the quote above.

You may have noticed that Neville doesn’t say that it’s easy, since he talks about persisting and stopping ourselves when we deviate from that assumption. It is not necessarily easy at first, it takes practice and persistence, but in the end, if you do practice and persist every day, it will become easier and easier.

You’ve Always Been Living in the End

In defining an aim, you’re defining a state of consciousness – which, like all states of consciousness, much have its reactions to life. For example: if a rumor or an idle remark could cause an anxious reaction in one person and no reaction in another, this is positive proof that the two people are living in two different states of consciousness. – Neville Goddard

A very important fact that new Neville Goddard’s students don’t realize when they are asking the question, how do we live in the end, it’s that they’ve always lived in the end of something. You have always lived in the end of something. Right NOW, you are living in the end of something, but maybe you are living in the end of the lack of your desire. Your state of consciousness is that of NOT having your desire, therefore, you are living in the end of not having your desire.

If you want to be in a relationship with your specific person, living in the end of your wish fulfilled means that you have to step into the state of consciousness of BEING in that relationship, and the best way to test if you are living in the end of that it’s to observe your reactions.

I often hear people telling me that they got “triggered” by some posts on Facebook groups, because someone wrote that we can’t manifest a specific person, for example. Why would someone be triggered by such a statement? Because they are NOT living in the end of having their SP and being in that relationship with them, so when they read the limiting beliefs of someone else saying that you cannot manifest a specific person, it triggers them, it reminds them that they are living in the state of lack, rather than in the state of having and being. As Neville says in the quote above it causes them an anxious reaction due to the state that they are dwelling in.

If you have been or even still are triggered by such comments, let this be a reminder that you are living in the state of NOT being in the relationship that you want to be in, because once you do, not only you won’t have such a negative reaction to the point of being triggered, but you’d laugh at the face of the person making such a statement because you know better.

How to Find the Feeling

If you’re faithful to your ideal, your reactions will conform to your aim. For you’ll be identified with your aim and, therefore, will be thinking from your aim. If your reactions aren’t in harmony with your ideal, it’s a sure sign that you’re separated from your ideal and are only thinking of it. – Neville Goddard

Analyze your thoughts and feelings right now, and ask yourself the honest question, do I truly live in the end of my wish fulfilled? Only by being honest with yourself will you be able to move forward. If your answer is yes, then perfect, just keep doing what you’re doing and your desire will harden into fact soon. If your answer is no, then embody that feeling, embody the state of being who you want to be, by asking yourself the question that Neville told people to ask themselves, how would I see the world if I had my desire?

How would you walk? How would you talk? How would you react to things? How would you feel right now… if you had your desire?

Close your eyes, and imagine how it would feel to live in the end of your wish fulfilled. Once you are in that state, your feelings and reactions will be different, because you will have stepped over into another state of consciousness, which is one where you have your desire.

When we have no idea that our reactions are only states of consciousness from which it’s possible to separate ourselves, we go round and round in the same circle of problems – not seeing them as inner states, but as outer situations. – Neville Goddard

Every time you react a certain way about anything, it’s coming from the state that you are dwelling in. When you are convinced that you can manifest anything and everything that you want, including a specific person, you won’t react in panic every time someone brings up their limiting beliefs. As a matter of fact, because you do no longer dwell in that state of doubt, these types of statements will most likely not appear in front of your eyes anymore.

It is possible to feel wealthy while lacking money in the physical world. It is possible to feel healthy while lacking heath in the physical world. It is possible to feel married while still single in the physical world. It is possible to FEEL anything that you want, because of this divine tool of ours called imagination. The more you train your imagination, the better it will get, and the better you will be able to live in the end of your wish fulfilled.

imagination creates reality

What are you imagine? What are you imagining to be true? Each time I receive an email from a client, or a message with a question, or the many questions that people ask me through my Facebook group, I can tell pretty quickly what they’ve been imagining. The problem is that, for the most part, what they are imagining is NOT in line with what they want.

Life always externalizes what you have imagined. – Neville Goddard

What you are imagining now, will determine what you are going to externalize in your physical world tomorrow, because imagination creates reality. So, why don’t start, NOW, to imagine your desired outcome? Does it seem difficult for you? If so, keep on reading.

What are you Truly Imagining?

Your reactions, whether positive or negative, are creative of future circumstances. In your imagination, you can hear words congratulating you on getting a wonderful new job. That imaginal act now goes forward and you will encounter this pleasant experience in the future. Neville Goddard

So, let’s say you are consciously manifesting your desire using whatever technique or techniques work best for you. But there are 24 hours in a day. So, let say you are affirming a total of 30 minutes out of those 24 hours that your desire is yours, and then you are visualizing another 20 minutes out of that day, implying that your desire is yours. But what happens with the 23 hours that are left? Are doubting, are you worrying? Are you wondering? Are you wandering in your thoughts?

Additionally, are you thinking that if you don’t affirm that day it won’t happen? Are you thinking that maybe you’re not doing enough? Are you worrying that you can’t visualize very well? If you are imagining any of those things, then, you are NOT imagining your wish fulfilled, and you are forgetting that YOU manifest your desires, not the techniques. Don’t give the techniques what’s yours, because that, too, is imagination at work and it manifests. Don’t create the belief that if you don’t practice this or that technique you won’t be able to manifest your desire.

None of this is true.

In the quote above, Neville says, your reaction, whether positive or negative are creative of your future circumstances. If you are imagining anything that goes against having or being your desire, then, that imaginal act has to manifest in your physical world. If you are thinking the way I described above, then what you are truly imagining it’s that you don’t have your desire.

So, why are you imagine the opposite of what you want?

What is the Cause of Your Imagination?

Your Imagination is YOU yourself, and the world as your Imagination sees it is the real world. – Neville Goddard

What you are imagining comes from your self-concept. If you have a poor concept of self, your imagination is going to be “poor,” if you have a high concept of yourself, you are going to be able to easily imagine that you can have whatever you want. When you find it difficult to imagine that you are in that relationship that you want so much, it’s a self-concept issue. When you have a hard time seeing yourself handling that job that you want, it’s a self-concept issue. When you have trouble feeling wealthy, it’s a self-concept issue. Even when you accept yourself being sick, it’s a self-concept issue.

Your self-concept is what you accept to be true for you. It’s the sum total of your assumptions. It’s what creates the content of your consciousness. What you have agreed to be conscious of. And your consciousness creates your reality.

If you find it hard to control your imagination. If you find it hard to remain in the state of your wish fulfilled. The primary cause is self-concept.

When you change your concept of self, your whole being changes. The way you think of yourself changes, the way you think of other people changes and the way the world appears to you changes. Everything in your reality changes with your self-concept. When that happens, what you are imagining all day long will be totally different. You will be imagining that you are what you want to be much more easily. It’s going to become second nature. You are going to be able to live in the end of your wish fulfilled naturally.

Living in End is Forever

An awakened imagination works with a purpose. It creates and conserves the desirable, and transforms or destroys the undesirable. – Neville Goddard

Living in the end happens in your imagination first. But living in the end is NOT a technique, it’s a way of life. That’s why you don’t live in the end just to manifest your desire, you live in the end as long as you want to KEEP your desire because the moment you stop being in that state you’ll lose it. Even when your desire has hardened into fact, you need to keep on living in the end of having it in order to keep it.

That’s why it’s not because you have the SP that you’ll keep them. It’s not because you have the money that you’ll keep it. It’s not because you have the job that you’ll keep it. It’s not because you are healthy, that you’ll keep on being that way. You will keep all those things as long as you keep on living in the end of having them. If for some reason you shifted into a state that implies that you don’t have those things anymore, you would lose them. That’s why nothing is set in stone and things can change fast. As fast as you can shift from a state, as fast as you can start imagining something different.

This is why the law is not a magic pill that we swallow once and all is well, the law is a way of life. Once we have become a conscious manifestor we have to keep on using our powerful imagination to maintain what we have. If we went back to our old ways, we would lose them. Living in the end of your wish fulfilled is forever, or as long as you want to keep it.

Become Aware of What You are Imagining

When will and imagination are in conflict, imagination invariably wins. – Neville Goddard

Whether or not you are aware of it, you are imagining all the time. The question is what are you imagining?

Unlike your ‘old man’ self, you need to become aware of what you are imagining. Checkup with yourself several times a day. If you need to, set a timer every couple of hours to remind yourself of what you’ve just been imagining. If what you been imagining matches your wish fulfilled, keep up the good work, congratulations. But if not, readjust your thinking and redirect your imagination. An awakened imagination works with a purpose, so be aware of what you are imagining all throughout the day, so you won’t get any surprises when your imagination hardens into fact. On the contrary, you will be manifesting exactly what you’ve been imagining because imagination creates reality.

Feeling it real what does it mean

The time it takes your assumption to become fact, your desire to be fulfilled, is directly proportionate to the NATURALNESS of your feeling of already being what you want to be… of already having what you desire. – Neville Goddard

I think that one of the most common misunderstandings about “feeling it real” it’s that people think that it means to be emotional. But this is definitely not the case. Feeling it real is NOT feeling emotional about your desire. When Neville Goddard was telling people to feel it real, to feel the reality of having their desire, he didn’t mean to be emotional about it, he meant to feel natural about it. When it feels natural, it feels real.

So, if you are still confused about the difference between feeling it real and feeling emotional about your desire, this article is for you.

Feeling it Real vs Having Emotions

The subconscious is the womb of creation. It receives the idea unto itself through the feelings of man. It never changes the idea received, but always gives it form. Hence the subconscious out pictures the idea in the image and likeness of the feeling received. – Neville Goddard – Feeling is the Secret

Let’s say you want to manifest a romantic partner, and when you think of them you become emotional, maybe it makes you cry. You’re feeling this way because you actually have a hunger for your sp. You love them and you want them, but right now they are not with you, so you miss them. It’s obvious that regardless of all those emotions, you do not feel that you are in a relationship with them. You actually have a longing for them and that’s where your emotions are coming from. One thing that you do not feel, however, it’s that you are in a relationship with them. At that stage, you do not feel the reality of being with them, because if you did, those emotions would actually subside.

Now, let’s say that you want to create a live in the end scene with your sp, but you create an emotional scene where you are too excited and too involved. When you’re done with your visualization it’s going to be hard to sustain such a scene. If your scene is too emotional it can actually create a need, a longing, a lack feeling for your sp, and thus, it’s not going to help you to live in the end of your wish fulfilled. Feeling emotional about something or someone is NOT feeling it real, but more like feeling it NEW, or worse even, feeling wanting.

Indeed, if you try to manifest something by feeling emotional about it, you actually create more hunger for it. The problem is that as long as your desire is not in your 3D yet, that hunger is going to make you REACT to the 3D in a negative way. On the other hand, if you have a very simple, non-emotional scene in your mind that implies that your desire has been yours for a while, that type of feeling is much easier to sustain since it feels so normal to you. That’s what it means to feel it real. Create a short scene, devoid of any strong emotion, that implies that your desire is a common occurrence in your life. Once you feel it real, it’s your subconscious mind’s job to recreate that feeling in your 3D. What you assume to be true in your mind, will be materialized by your subconscious mind in your 3D reality.

Feeling it Real is Not Pretending

The actor cannot pretend. He must enter and become the part he has agreed to play. He cannot step upon the stage knowing he is a great actor who everyone recognizes. He must lose himself in the character by leaving his personality in the dressing room and entering the stage as the character he is to portray. – Neville Goddard

So, now that we know that feeling it real is not feeling emotional, it’s important to know that it’s not pretending either. Interestingly, in the old days, I used to be in acting, so I completely understand what Neville is saying in the quote above. As an actor, when you play a part you have to forget about who you are as a person, and even who you are as an actor because you have to BECOME the character that you are interpreting.

This is why it is very common to see very shy actors not being shy at all as soon as they are on a stage or in front of a camera. Not only I have seen that many times, but I was one of such actors. True, I am not longer shy now, but back then I was tremendously shy, but my state of being shy dropped instantly as soon as I had to become someone else. Once I was on that stage I could be and do things that I couldn’t dream of doing as ME. This happened because I stepped into the state of my character, I was no longer my-self, I was that character. When you feel it real to have or be your desire, you need to step into the state of the person who has their desire. Your ‘old man’ has to die to give life to the new one. This is no pretending, it’s a true feeling.

Being in the State is Feeling it Real

So when God stepped upon the stage wearing this (body), he is Neville, one hundred percent. He had to completely forget that he was God, yet knowing that he brought with him a pattern which would erupt and his memory would return. I agreed to play the part as Neville. He and I are one. – Neville Goddard

When we were born, at the source we were God. That’s why we say that we are God. We are God wearing our body, and for us to live as humans and discover who we truly are, we had to totally forget who we are at the source. God is wearing Neville, God is wearing Sylviane, God is wearing YOU. That’s why we say that we are ALL ONE. The same God, the same source, is in each body that is walking on the earth. And not only human bodies, by the way. All bodies. All living things. The whole universe.

But as a person, as us, as you, you feel it so real that you’re forgetting that you are God. That’s what feeling it real means. You don’t feel emotions about being you, do you? No, you simply ARE you, It feels real to be you, to be your body, to by your personality. Yet, it’s just a state. You are in the state of being you. It feels real, it feels natural, and it’s not emotional. You do not wake up in the morning thinking, oh my God, I am ME! I can’t believe it, it’s amazing! Most of us don’t that, do we? We don’t do that because we feel it real to be us, it’s normal, it’s natural. We have embodied the state of being us. You have embodied the state of being YOU.

Maybe you are a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a doctor, a cook, an artist, etc… do you feel emotional about any of those states? No, you simply feel it real. The next time you’re wondering about what it means to feel it real, think about that and you will get it. That’s how it feels.
